TGR BioSciences Pty Ltd (TGR) is a private biotechnology company that was established in 2001 and is located in Adelaide, Australia. TGR is dedicated to developing novel assay technologies that bring greater efficiency and convenience to research laboratories in the biotechnology industry and academic institutions. TGR's flagship SureFire® assay kits are primarily targeted at drug discovery research applications. TGR manufactures SureFire kits in its Adelaide premises and sells them to cell biology laboratories and to the global drug discovery market through PerkinElmer, Inc. (USA), a leader in this market.
On market for over 3 years, the SureFire business is growing rapidly, reflecting the strong market for high quality assay tools for the drug development process. TGR now has over 60 SureFire assay kits on market and is continuing to broaden the product range to meet the expanding demand from its global customers.
TGR also has a number of other novel biodetection technologies in development to address new market segments and broaden TGR's reach within the multi-billion dollar assay technologies market. TGR's ELISA-One™ platform, currently in late-stage market testing, represents the next generation in ELISA technology. ELISA-One™ brings sensitivity, speed and flexibility to this traditional assay format.
In addition, TGR is seeking to license or sell a range of patented therapeutic product candidates, most discovered using our own screening platforms.

- Lactermin™ a milk-derived bioactive extract with broad patent protection and extensive efficacy data to support its applications in tissue growth and repair. Lactermin™ has GRAS (Generally Recognised as Safe) approval as a novel food in the USA. TGR has a marketing agreement with a leading Australian dairy company for certain applications of Lactermin™, and is seeking to out-license the remaining therapeutic portfolio for this bioactive milk extract, particularly for over-the-counter oral health products.
- TGR-313 a patented, protein-reduced milk extract with commercial potential for use as a nutritional supplement to prevent the onset of immune disorders associated with early weaning of infants. TGR has extensive in vivo data in allergy-prone infant rats to demonstrate the efficacy of TGR-313 in promoting appropriate immune development and homeostasis following the early introduction of foreign food proteins.
